Arenville Academy is located in Karen, May East Road next to Don Orione seminary, Nairobi. A serene, secure, and family-friendly neighborhood easily accessible from Lang’ata, Ngong, Karen Plains, Hardy, and Gataka.

Our program blends Kenya’s Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) with the best practices from Montessori and Reggio Emilia philosophies—providing a holistic, child-centered, and play-driven learning experience.

We believe in educating the heart and mind. Our approach is rooted in values, emotional intelligence, creative exploration, and nature-based learning to nurture confident, curious, and compassionate learners.

While we are not a specialized institution for special needs, we embrace inclusivity. We assess each case individually to determine how best we can support the child within our environment.

Curriculum & Learning Approach

We follow Kenya’s Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), enhanced by proven methods from the Montessori and Reggio Emilia philosophies. This blend supports play-based, inquiry-driven learning that builds confidence, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

At Arenville, we nurture the whole child—intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. Our lessons integrate academic skills with emotional intelligence, moral values, movement, art, and nature-based activities for balanced growth.

Both! We strongly believe in nature-inspired learning. Our safe outdoor environment is an extension of the classroom where children engage with sensory play, movement, and exploration.

We are not a one-size-fits-all program. Our curriculum is:

  • Child-centered, not test-driven

  • Values-based, rooted in Biblical principles

  • Nature-inspired, with daily outdoor learning

  • Project-based, encouraging curiosity and leadership

  • Emotionally supportive, helping children thrive beyond academics

Play is at the core of our method. Children engage in structured and free play activities that develop language, math concepts, social skills, and creativity—often without even realizing they’re “learning.”
